On the iPad
Okay, we've spent the last several months exploring and developing things on the iPad tablet platform. Why Would You Need More Than One Website?
Looking Differently at the Web

ost people, especially if new to the web, think in terms of "Their Website". A single website. A place for people to go see their products, learn about their business, and sometimes buy stuff. And after they spend thousands of dollars building that website, they probably don't feel inclined to think a whole lot more about spending even more money expanding and experimenting with making it better.

But there are two things worth thinking about here:

1. You probably already know that your website isn't perfect. Even after all that hard work and all that money, the day you went live is the day you started thinking of things that should be different. More importantly, as you thought about it, watched people use your website, and got some feedback, you began to have ideas about NEW things you would like to try.

2. Everyday people think of new ways to use the web to do useful things in their daily lives. More and more they look to the web to provide answers, buy stuff, or entertain themselves. If you are in business to sell stuff, provide information, or entertain people, your very survival may mean that you'll need to pay more and more attention to how you integrate the web into your business plan.

Your izotz membership allows you to build as many websites and web applications as you want. Why do we do it that way? Most website companies charge you by the website. Many charge you extra for each function module you use. Some charge for each webpage you make. Some even charge you for updating your webpages. We think that for you to get the most out of the web, it's critical that you be given the flexibility to play around, experiment with ideas, move fast on new trends, and quickly dump failed projects without worrying about lost investment. So, we let you...and encourage you...and even beg you...to build more stuff.

Start thinking differently about the web and what you can do on it. At izotz you've got an unlimited virtual playground, along with some pretty powerful tools, that will let you do things you've never been able to do. At least not unless you had an unlimited amount of money to spend, and army of programmers willing to listen to your ideas, and a whole lot of patience to put it all together. But that's all different now. You got the power.

Thinking out loud...

--If you sell stuff online, think about building multiple versions of your sales website. It's quick and easy, and all can share the same product data, just presented in different forms. As any marketing person will tell you...it's all about experimenting continuously to find what works. And what doesn't. Tweaking it over and over to find just the right approach. Using your izotz tools, you tweak, create, and experiment in seconds. If it doesn't work, dump it and try something else.

--Build multiple landing pages for your advertising campaigns. Revise and experiment. You can do it instantly. No more calling up your webmaster, wrestling him off the beach, paying him a bunch of money, and waiting for two weeks for your new ideas to show up on your website. Do it yourself, right now.

--Want to collect more customer feedback? Throw up a new online email form, customized for your current campaign. Do it in two minutes. All izotz modules can be shared between websites, and even more useful...run as stand alone web pages. That means you can throw up temporary things like email forms, discussion forums, newspapers, special webpages...all for a short period of time without messing with your primary website. This in itself could create some real exciting new ways to connect with your online audience.

--Does your company website have 5000 webpages, all linked together in one byzantine navigation menu that goes 20 levels deep? Maybe you should think about breaking your website into pieces...designing customized versions for your different website audiences. Share content where needed, create custom content where necessary. It's not about having "a" website...that's not what works these days. Maybe you need a dozen websites. Use your izotz tools. You can do it for far less effort than you're spending now on ONE website. Almost for no cost.

Start thinking differently about the web. Now that you have the tools and capability to easily create and maintain multiple websites, what can you do with it? And even if you don't need to do it right now, I guarantee you'll use it later.
